Nathan is a completely normal boy. But when he frees the lively Yo-kai "Whisper" from a toy machine, he receives a magic watch as a thank you. With this Yo-kai Watch, Nathan can see all the colorful creatures that are called Yo-kai. They play all kinds of pranks on people and from now on Nathan has his hands full trying to win over the Yo-kai. But when Whisper is kidnapped, Nathan has to gather all his Yo-kai friends for one last battle to free him from the clutches of the Yo-kai World.
